Most patients owe less than $75 for PrismRA.

Prior to submitting a bill to your insurance, we estimate your financial responsibility. If we anticipate that your out-of-pocket costs could be more than $75, you will receive a call from us to review your estimated costs. This helps avoid unexpected bills.

What to Expect

PrismRA Is Ordered

Your rheumatologist provides us with your insurance information when PrismRA is ordered.

You Receive What Looks Like a Bill

You will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance plan. This is NOT a bill, but a notice of how your claim was processed.

You May Receive a Scipher Bill

After you receive an EOB, you may receive a Scipher bill. ONLY an invoice with the Scipher Medicine logo is your out-of-pocket expense.

Will I be billed for PrismRA?

You will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance plan after Scipher submits a claim for PrismRA. Please note this is NOT a bill. The EOB is a notice from your insurance plan indicating how it has processed the claim.

If your insurance claim is denied, with your consent, our team will work directly with your insurance and healthcare provider to try and obtain coverage. We will appeal the claim with your consent to help minimize any financial burden. Our goal is to help you get access to testing at the most reasonable rate possible.

Is there financial assistance available?

Our financial assistance program provides you with flexible financing options. We also assist qualifying patients who may not be able to afford out-of-pocket costs associated with PrismRA.

Scipher Medicine will perform the services ordered and deemed medically necessary by your physician, regardless of your financial situation. Our financial assistance program is based on federal poverty guidelines, and the qualification details are unique to each patient’s individual circumstances.
